My son and I have to cut our weekly bike rides short nowadays because darkness sets in so quickly - but on our return trip along the beach, we're treated to views like this:

Oh. Have I mentioned that I love those trees? Adore them.
And, I think you should amend that last sentence to say that it's nice to live in coastal California. I think the mountains are nice, too, but I suppose you would shudder to see the amount of snow here right now.
Damn that is an awesome pic! I'd love to live there.
